Hi everyone,

While browsing applevis.com I came across this audio adventure game. It sounds like the developers put a lot of effort into making it accessible, and I'm wondering if anyone has tried it yet. I'm thinking I might pick it up, at least to support this venture. Point and click adventure games have long been some of my favorites, and I think it is amazing a developer has made this game both graphical and in audio.

If anyone else tries it, let me know your thoughts.

You can find the game here, along with samples and descriptions.

What is the pricetag on the game? I haven't seen it in my store. Maybe I am not looking far enough, or it isn't in my store yet.

It's priced a little high for an episodic game at 14 bucks on IOS and 26 I believe for PC. I purchased the IOS version because it was cheaper. It's actually the first audio game which has held my attention. The voice acting is actually a cut above most audio games (And even some commercial adventure games), and the story and writing are not left on the back shelf like practically every other audio game I've personalllly played. (And if anyone has an audio game that actualy tells a good story, let me know.:)) The gameplay and interface are easy to understand, and so far the puzzles make sense. It's honestly worth a try, even at its price. Apparently it's six to eight hours in length, which for an episodic adventure game is pretty good, even by mainstream standards. Honestly, my only critisism is sometimes the commands don't respond properly, and the invantory is a bit of a chore to get through. Special mention though has to go to the lead character's voice actor, who actually came back into the studio to record vivid descriptions of the environments, along with names for every object. They could have delegated such things to voiceover, but they didn't, and the actor did a good job of keeping the descriptions immersive. THey're a little stilted at times "I go to ... Abbot's study. I go to ... my cell." But the rest of his performance is great. He sounds like what I always pictured an inquisitor would sound like; definately not a nice guy, and one I wouldn't want to cross.

I agree. I can't seem to make the sign of the cross though, and I'm seriously stumped at where I am. But Iagree about the voice acting. His voice almost reminds me of Emperor Palpatine.

No argument there. But Father Nicolas does have a similarly deep voice and a rather sinister manner about him.

I haven't played the game in quite a while due to some bugs. In fact I was told by the developer a while back that he'd temporarily removed it from the app store because he didn't want to sell a product he considered defective. So either he didn't do so or it's back. LOL. I know tere was an announcement a while back on the game's page that said the next chapter was due for release soon.
